Special Guest: Leslie Williams, NSW Member of Parliament, Port Macquarie and NSW Parliamentary Secretary for Regional and Rural Health. Founder of Dementia Friendly Communities Program for the NSW Government.

Special Guest: Professor, The Hon Dame Marie Bashir, AD, CVO, Patron of the Australian Centre for Arts and Health and a staunch advocate of arts, health and creative ageing.

We are delighted that Professor Bashir will attend the full conference to celebrate our 10th anniversary.

Gary Glazner, Founding Director, Alzheimer’s Poetry Project, New York, USA – working in community health and ageing services and prisons. Poet in Residence for the conference.

Alice Thwaite, Director, Equal Arts, Newcastle, UK – a world leader in creative ageing programs, skills training and arts on prescription models.  

Anne Gallacher, Founding Director, Luminate, the lead agency in arts and ageing in Scotland which presents the Luminate Creative Ageing Festival.

Dominic Campbell, Producer and Director, Creative Ageing International; formerly Artistic Director, Bealtaine Creative Ageing Festival in Ireland for 7 years. 

Dr Gary Christenson, Psychiatrist and Director, Boynton Mental Health Service for students, staff and faculty, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis USA.

Dr Persephone Sextou, Reader in Applied Theatre, Newman University, Birmingham  – expert in theatre for children in hospital and hospices, UK.  Dr Sextou’s visit to Australia has been sponsored by Griffith University, Queensland.
